Dame Farm's Horse-Drawn Wagon & Sleigh Rides

Please note that all horse-drawn rides are handicap accessible.

Dame Farm proudly owns one Amish-broke Belgian Draught Horse, Dave, and two Percherons, Bill and Bob. Their role on the farm, aside from the occasional plowing or harrowing expedition, is pulling visitors on a one-of-a kind tour of the farm. All of our rides begin from the Farm Stand. From there, visitors join the horses and their teamster--also a member of the Dame family--on a thirty-minute circuit of the farm. The tour passes between planted fields, across a brook, through a stretch of woods, near two lovely ponds, and beside a historic family cemetery. Depending on the season, one is likely to see geese, herons, and an occasional deer or coyote.

While Dame Farm's horse-drawn rides are an enjoyable family venture, they also provide a unique venue for birthday parties, community group outings, church gatherings, and more. Large group packages complete with seasonal activities are also available.

Dame farm owns both a horse-drawn wagon and a horse-drawn bobsled. When there is enough snow for the sled to run smoothly, walk-in and scheduled rides take advantage of that opportunity. During warmer months or when snow is not present, rides occur with the wagon.
